Whats next when DMV Investigation closes a case?

I have a open Investigation with DMV my luc is going to expired but because of the new ids in ca I guess they want to check my identity I'm in mx I've Been deported one of my fam member spike to the investigator and he said he's closing the case since theirs no way I can come back right now my question is what happens after when he closes the case? But in the future when I do my adjustment of status before I go to DMV I have to go talk to a DMV investigator so they can verify my identity what can I do to resolve this if I'm in mx
